Flight Instructor
Instrument Rating |
 |
The instrument flight instructor rating allows the pilot to teach the art of instrument flying to aspiring instrument pilots. It, too, requires considerable knowledge and the ability to properly teach a subject and fulfill the responsibilities of this important position. Note: Theoretically it is possible for a pilot to obtain only an instrument flight instructor certificate, but that is not recommended and would not be acceptable for employment as a flight instructor in most cases.
The course, based on two or three sessions per week, normally takes about two months.
